Hello, I’m Asif. I am an Associate Solicitor at *particular having started in January 2017. I specialise in corporate finance, covering everything from investment deals to bespoke founders' agreements.

I also cover the commercial and employment work when the need arises. I qualified as a solicitor in 2014 having completed my training and qualified in civil litigation and personal injury before changing to become a corporate solicitor. I have had quite a varied journey to get to this point including completing my first degree in Accountancy and Business and a Masters in International Accounting before working as an accountant for some large corporate businesses including Proctor and Gamble. During my first stint at University I worked as a taxi driver and set up my first business, a car wash, with a partner, which I went on to sell when landing my first graduate job. I later went on to set up an events company before opting for a career in law and did my General Diploma in Law. With this being the equivalent of doing a law degree in one year, it was very intensive, but one of the best decisions I have made.

"Watching clients grow and become successful is a very rewarding aspect of the job"

The opportunity at *particular was one that really stood out for me. It has allowed me to combine everything I have learnt throughout the various different directions my career has taken me. I understand the position from not a legal or finance aspect, but most importantly from the perspectives of our clients, which has helped me build strong relationships in the time I’ve been here. This is key to the success of the firm and something I thoroughly enjoy. Watching clients grow and become successful is a very rewarding aspect of the job. Outside of work, I am a very proud parent of two boys, which takes up a large amount of my spare time. When I do have free time, I like to take part in and watch sports especially football and boxing. I also like street art; artists such as Banksy, Hush and Natural are amongst my favourites. In 2012, to the displeasure of my wife, I started collecting trainers, and have managed to get my hands on some very rare pairs over the years.
